Chief's Message

As the Chief of Police, and speaking for the men and women of the Kendallville Police Department, I would like to thank you for your interest in our department. The goal of this department is to work with the citizens of our city to prevent crime, reduce traffic problems and to make Kendallville an even safer place to live and work.

The challenges faced by Police Officers today are significant and constantly changing. The Kendallville Police Department is continually updating its programs and training to provide its personnel with the resources needed to prevent crime and respond effectively to crimes that do occur. Our best tool in the fight against crime and making our streets and highways safe is you, the citizens of Kendallville. I would like to encourage each of you to be observant in your neighborhood and to report suspicious activity at the earliest possible time. Working together, we can reduce crime and make our streets safer.

The members of the Kendallville Police Department are continually looking for better ways to work for and with the citizens of Kendallville. We invite you to talk with the members of our department regarding the needs of the city and how we, as a department, can be more effective Partners With the Community.
