The City of Kendallville is located at 41°26′30″N 85°15′38″W (41.441750, -85.260475) It is in Wayne and Allen Townships in Noble County, Indiana, United States. The corporate limits include 6.27 square miles (16.24 /km2) of area, of which 0.22 square miles (0.57 /km2) is water. The average elevation for the city is 988 feet (301 m).

As of the census of 2020, there were 10,271 people in 4,133 households residing in the city. The population density was 1,694.6 inhabitants per square mile (654.2 /km2). The racial makeup of the city was 93.1% White, 0.3% African American, 0.5% Asian, 2.3% from other races, and 4.3% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.6% of the population.

6.2% of residents were under the age of 5; 21.9% of residents were under the age of 18 and 19.4% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 49.2% male and 50.8% female.
